i am addicted to crack cocain any suggestions on how to quit without being brainwashed in the 12-step program?
i have tried the program several times in the past and all it does is make me crave the drug and alcohol
i would be willing to try a program… it’s been so long since ive wanted to quit, where do i start… I NEED TO DO THIS I JUST FOUND OUT I AM PREGNANT!

what a load of crap!
the people at those meetings are just like you,…they fight the demon every day & alot of them win by doing what is suggested in the meetings.
personally, it seems that you have a closed mind & therefore will not succeed in 12 step recovery. without an open mind-your attempts to be free of drugs will fail!
if you dont like what you hear in a particular meeting, you can;
1. go to a different meeting
2. avoid meetings
3. dig deep inside yourself, figure out what is pissing you off, & get brutally honest with yourself
the last time i heard somebody say what you said—they wanted to get free of coke but still drink (their rationalization was that booze is not a drug). switching drugs is like swapping deck chairs on the titanic—bottom line is THE SHIP IS STILL GOING TO SINK!!!
